Probably the first thought is for the Renaissance, the city of Florence with its beautiful monuments to visit and the alleys to walk.
Did you know that Tuscany is the Italian region with the largest number of provinces?
Arezzo, Firenze, Grosseto, Livorno, Lucca, Massa-Carrara, Pisa, Pistoia, Prato and Siena.
In this post I want to tell you about a small Tuscan village that you can reach in 45 minutes by car from Siena.
Today I take you to Montalcino.
During my career in tourism I visited this village many times and I met many true inhabitants of this beautiful place with whom I became friends and began to collaborate.
When you think of Montalcino you immediately think of the king of Tuscan wines: Brunello di Montalcino!

What are the things to do when you are in Montalcino?
You can enjoy a walk around the charming old village, the city walls and marvel panoramic views, can't miss a walk through the shops, to taste an excellent gelato or reserve a dinner in one of the quality restaurants the village has to offer.
